Charlie graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Otago, before starting his legal career at another local Dunedin firm then coming to the litigation team at McMillan&Co in 2020. He has gained experience in various areas, including employment, relationship property, sports law, criminal, estate law and commercial litigation.
Having been born and raised in a family of lawyers in Dunedin, and now being a homeowner here, Charlie is a proud Dunedinite and he enjoys using his legal and strategic thinking strengths to help out in his community. He has volunteered at the Community Law Centre since studying at Otago, serves as President of the Kaikorai Cricket Club, Chairman of the Otago New Practitioners Committee and a member of the Australian and New Zealand Sports Law Association.
When work and volunteer commitments (along with trying to avoid legal discussion with his family) aren’t keeping him occupied, Charlie can be found on the cricket field, at the gym, in the kitchen, or out and about being dragged around by his dogs Jack and Fred.
“McMillan&Co. incorporates the practices of David Polson, Roger Barrowclough, Gerald Wilson, Joss Miller and McKinnon Aitken Martin.”
