Diane has lived all but 6 years of her life in Dunedin, so believes she has earned the privilege of calling herself a true “Dunedinite”. She was schooled in Dunedin and completed her LLB (Hons) degree at Otago University in 1996. Diane loves all that Dunedin offers and feels passionate about welcoming new people into the Dunedin community to enrich its commercial and cultural foundation.
Diane began her working life in Wellington where she completed her professional legal studies and was formally admitted to the legal profession. She has juggled her personal and professional life throughout her legal career, with 3 children and a dog making their appearance along the way. Outside of work Diane does the “mum thing” and has been actively involved in the school life of her children making many contacts along the way.
Diane has a background of practice mainly in tax, child support, debt collection and immigration. In recent years she has assisted a local sole practitioner with all manner of legal work and tutored second year business law papers for the University of Otago’s Finance and Accounting Department . Diane has recently joined McMillan&Co. working in particular within their highly experienced immigration team.
