Property & Commercial Law * Wills & Trust Law
Dunedin born and bred, Pamela is a graduate of Otago University, having studied law as an adult and been admitted to the bar in 2002.
Pamela specialises in the buying and selling of property, small businesses, wills, estates and trusts, and relationship property.
Pamela’s previous careers encompassed management, and administrative work in the law and in business. That professional background and her life experiences, means that even though she has had a relatively short legal career to date, she does have a sound understanding of clients’ needs, and dealing with their complex and sometimes difficult issues. Having worked in a range of law firms, from the small one-partner family law firm to the corporate environment of a large South Island firm, Pamela can relate to most people.
Pamela takes pride in providing clients with legal advice on a friendly personal level which is appropriate to their situation. She gets satisfaction from helping clients to achieve outcomes that they feel really comfortable with, whether it be in making a will that fully and clearly expresses their wishes, or negotiating a relationship property settlement that they can live with and which allows them to move on with their lives.
Outside of work, Pamela and her partner have a daughter and enjoy family activities together, especially their extensive garden and the beautiful beach at St Clair. Pamela belongs to the Dunedin Wine and Food Society, and assists on the committee organising functions and recruiting enthusiastic new members.
